Breast Cancer awareness programme for women personnel on 24th July 2018

Breast cancer is now the most common cancer in most cities in India; At T.I we decisively deem that having the right knowledge of cancer and its treatment is half the war won already and helps those who are undergoing treatment and their care givers cope up with it better. Our aim is to provide right guidance and truthful knowledge on everything related to Breast cancer to our women faculty, Thus T.I has organized Breast Cancer awareness programme for women personnel on 24th July 2018.

  • One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.
  • Most women (about eight out of 10) who get breast cancer do not have a family history of the disease
  • Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women.
  • Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among women.
  • Although breast cancer in men is rare, an estimated 2,470 men will be diagnosed with breast cancer and approximately 460 will die each year.
  • On average, every 2 minutes a woman is diagnosed with breast cancer and 1 woman will die of breast cancer every 13 minutes.
  • Over 3.3 million breast cancer survivors are alive today.
