Kindergarten Sports Carnival - ‘Little Champions’
The ‘Little Champions’ Kindergarten Sports Carnival Kept Every Body’s Eyes Glued on to the Children of LKG and UKG on March 10, 2017.
Anna Jose of UKG A Welcomed the Gathering through Her Delightful Welcome Note Followed By the Toddlers’ Walk. The Children of LKG Were Guided By the Volunteers Whereas, UKG Walked through the Track Confidently Waiving Out to their Parents.
The Welcome Dance (Barathanatyam) By Tharika of Class IV was Yet Another Feast to our Eyes. Her Expressions, Mudras, Posture and Stamina Kept the Gathering Gaze In Awe.
Skill Acquisition In Children was Evident through the LKG Class Games Which Involved Tasks Like Following the Track, Going through the Hoops and Net, Balance Walk and Running Race. The Parachute Game By the Three Year Olds Showcased that Children Can Follow Multiple Instructions, Focus on a Task For More than Five to Six Minutes and Keep to the Pace of Speed with Team Members - Which is a Higher Order Social and Cognitive Skill.
The Students of UKG Performed Musical Sport Displays Highlighting the Importance of Games Like Hockey, Cricket and Tennis. As a Part of the Musical Display, Children Performed a Freeze Frame Which Exhibited Coordination, Attention and Agility Skills. The Ability of Children to Understand Space Orientation, Musical Awareness, Lateral Movement of Hands and Legs was Evident.
All the Children Came Together For the ‘Grand Finale’ Waiving White Flags to Signify that their World is Filled with Happiness and Hope. With Smiles all Around, the Children Waived to their Parents and Teachers.
As a Celebration of Mastering Skills, Each Child was Awarded For their Performance.
