'Gift Green' Sports Carnival 2017
The primary sports day titled ‘Gift Green’ 2017 was held on the 11th of February 2017. The day witnessed an array of joy and colour spread across the field. The entire event was conceived with the thought of highlighting the need for a green spread as the utmost need of the hour. The day’s events commenced with the toddlers march that spread the need to work towards bringing in a green surround. Following the march was a mass drill by the students of std I – V that flanked greenery as children held cut outs of trees which ended with the gifting of saplings to the heads of institutions who carried with them the responsibility of making the world a better place for all. The pyramid formation by the boys of Std IV & V stood out as a tribute to farmers hailing their toil and sacrifice. The girls of std IV & V made everyone skip a beat with their aerobics display. A few races laced the sporting spirit. Every child is a star. So we had all them participate in class games where they crossed hurdles, weaved chains, went through the tunnel, dodged the ball and ended up in a tug of war. Enthusiasm and the sheer joy of participating filled the air and every child walked home happily.
