07.01.2017	Open day	All classes	AMM School	Open day for all the classes was held for assessing the performance of students in Term II exams.
04.01.2017 & 22.01.2017	Activity Quiz - Travel Quest 2017	14 students from different classes.	Thomas Cook	16 schools participated and our school team won the competition. 14 students from our school took part in the quiz. Abhijit and Saikrishna of class IX got selected in the city finals. They became runners up in the National finals held at Ooty and won a free trip to Spain.
06.01.2017	Film club - Session 7	Film club members from classes VII and VIII	Students of XI and Ms. Nishanthy	The movie “Blind Story” was screened along with a clipping.
07.01.2017	Visit to Stamp exhibition at Amma Arangam	20 students from class VI to IX	Tamil Nadu Postal Circle	Children were exposed to the world of Philatelic exhibition. They identified the types of stamp collection. This visit helpedthe children to promote the hobby of stamp collection.

27.01.2017 to 29.01.2017	Standard judging competition for Scouts and Guides	10 scouts and 8 guides	Patel Scouts Group	Scouts and guides attended the camp at Tonakela Camp centre, Avadi, Annanoor. 8 guides won 1st place in camp craft, pioneering and first aid. Guides got overall championship. 10 scouts got 3rd place
28.01.2017	Field trip to Birla Planetarium	Students of class I	Birla Planetarium	Children visitedthe Birla Planetarium and held their breath as the cosmic world revolves around us, twinkling stars, shooting meteoroids, the rotating solar system and the undulating colours of the Red Planet, Mars. It was a thoroughly enjoyable and enlightening experience for the students.
28.01.2017	Field trip to Dakshina Chitra	Class II and III	Dakshina Chitra	Children visited Dakshina Chitra -a living history museum in Tamil Nadu dedicated to South Indian heritage and culture. Children enjoyed visiting the heritage village which has an array of displays depicting the life pattern of Indians in the states of South India. Students learnt about the exhibits portraying the living beliefs of art, folk performing-arts, craft and architecture of India, in particular of South Indian traditions. Students saw the 18 heritage houses representing the living styles of people from the states of South India such as Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, North Karnataka, Kerala and Telangana.
31.01.2017	Science and Maths Field Trip (Class V A and B)	Students of class V A and B	Thesosophical Society, Adyar	Students collected information about the history of the “Adyar Banyan Tree” and its life. They observes different types of plants, especially cactus and the mixture of manures etc.
31.01.2017	Field trip to Pallikaranai marshy land	Students of class IX	AMM School	Students visited the marshy land and learnt how pollution is deteriorating the wetlands.
